 Barbara Anne in her heart is a portrait artist and visual storyteller. 

Based in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, she has been a portrait photographer for over 20 years, building her craft on the belief that portraits can be truly transformative—not just for how they look, but for how they make you feel. Her work is rooted in her desire to help people see themselves with clarity, pride, and love.

Barbara Anne is an Internationally accredited & award winning portrait photographer through The Portrait Masters. This extensive training ensures that every session is not only created with techinical skill, but is also guided, intentional, and tailored to highlight your best self with elegance and authenticity.

As well as winning the Nanaimo Best Creative Service Award two years in a row, Barbara Anne is the official photographer for high-profile community events like the Women of Influence (Nanaimo) Awards & Gala  and Nanaimo Idol 2025, Barbara Anne captures the stories of inspiring individuals—contributing to the visual narrative of those who lead, create, and influence with heart.
