Like so many women, I spent years focusing on everything I wished I could change about myself. I understood what it felt like to avoid the camera, to pick apart every image, and to believe everyone else looked beautiful while I simply wasn't photogenic.
Then, when I turned 50, I stepped in front of the camera for my own portrait experience. I expected to walk away with at least a few photos I was okay with. I certainly wasn't hoping for beautiful or impactful.
What I didn't expect was how deeply it would change the way I saw myself.
For the first time in years, I wasn't looking for flaws. I saw strength. I saw resilience. I saw beauty that had nothing to do with perfection.
It reminded me that confidence isn't something we have to earn. It isn't waiting for us on the other side of a goal weight, a different body, or a different season of life.
Sometimes, all we need is the opportunity to truly see ourselves again.
That moment became the inspiration behind everything I do today.
For over 20 years, I've had the privilege of photographing hundreds of women from every walk of life.
Women celebrating milestones.
Women healing from loss.
Women beginning new chapters.
Women who simply wanted to remember who they were beyond the roles they carried every day.
Almost every one of them walked into my studio saying a version of the same thing:
"I'm nervous."
"I don't know how to pose."
"I hope you can make me look good."
And almost every one of them left saying:
"I can't believe that's me."
Those words never get old.

My job is to create a space where you feel safe enough to let your guard down, laugh, cry, breathe, and simply be yourself.
I'll guide you through every pose, every expression, and every step of the experience. You don't need to know what you're doing. You don't need to be confident before you arrive.
If you leave my studio with stunning artwork, I've done my job as a photographer.
But if you leave seeing yourself with a little more kindness, a little more confidence, and a renewed appreciation for the remarkable person you've become...
Then I've accomplished something far more meaningful.
